Home Ownership - Income Requirements
Our purpose is to build homes with families and sell the houses at no profit and no interest to families who could not otherwise afford a home. Applications are reviewed by three guidelines; one of those is the ability to pay. The mortgage payment on a Habitat for Humanity house must not be more than 30% of the partner family's gross annual income. An average monthly mortgage payment is approximately $520, which includes mortgage, property tax, insurance, and maintenance escrow. Income guidelines vary depending on household size. See the table below for more information.
| Household Size | Gross Annual Income |
| 1 | $20,733 |
| 2 | $21,950 |
| 3 | $24,700 |
| 4 | $27,450 |
| 5 | $29,650 |
| 6 | $31,850 |
| 7 | $34,050 |
